B&B situated in the pretty village of marloes
on the pembrokeshire coast
Once a village of lobster
fishermen, Marloes still has close links with the sea and with the Pembrokeshire islands. The boat leaves Martins Haven daily through
the summer for Skomer Island. The area was once famous for the leeches which were gathered in Marloes Mere
and sold to medical practitioners. The attractive clock house tower in the village was built in 1904 in the memory
of the fourth baron Kensington of nearby St Bride’s castle. The long expanse of Marloes sands, a
superb beach with unusual rock formations, is about a mile from the village. In a nearby bay lies the wreck
of the Albion paddle steamer which sank in 1840.
